CVIN™ is being developed to connect commercial-vehicle data that today exists across separate federal, state, local, fleet, tolling, and transportation-management systems into a unified, AI-ready network.
The objective is to allow authorized fleets, transportation agencies, and infrastructure partners to access and exchange relevant vehicle information faster and more efficiently creating a more complete operational picture of the vehicle, driver, cargo, location, and compliance status.
Rather than replacing existing systems, CVIN™ is designed to link them together.
That may include data and services associated with the U.S. Department of Transportation, FMCSA, state and local transportation agencies, fleet-management systems, toll and roadway networks, inspection systems, and participating commercial transportation partners.

Load identification, cargo status, authorized shipment information, origin/destination relationships, and chain-of-custody data.
Location & Movement
Vehicle position, route information, roadway activity, geofenced events, and interaction with participating transportation infrastructure.
Infrastructure & Agencies
Secure communication with authorized federal, state, local, fleet, tolling, inspection, and transportation-management systems.
Commercial transportation generates enormous amounts of data, but much of that information remains separated across independent systems.
A fleet may have one platform. A state may operate another. Federal agencies maintain separate databases. Tolling and roadway systems maintain their own networks. Cargo, inspection, enforcement, and vehicle systems may all operate independently.
